Rating: Triple Bogey
Whereas I eagerly anticipated this book, I was also very suspicious. First, if you’re familiar with Tony, he usually takes 100 pages to explain a 10-page concept. So this monstrosity of 600+ pages had me concerned from the start.
A visit to Barnes and Noble and a brief skimming resulted in my fears confirmed: 600 pages to hear that people should buy ANNUITIES! Add in the reality that he shares, 7 steps divided by 600 pages is 85 pages per step. Ridiculous.
What caught my eye: I find it even more ridiculous that wrapped in the “sharing of wisdom” of countless other successful people is, oh yeah, my son is a broker/advisor (investment salesperson). “No risk annuities that guarantee the market” is what he essentially says! Just drives me crazy. I guess Mr. Robbins never visited the SEC or FINRA site to find that annuities are the most litigious investment SOLD out there with countless warnings about the fine print on them.
