Rating: Hole in One
Every year, it takes me a while to work through the greatest yearly financial read available – the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report (and I’m still not entirely through 2013). For some reason I have been jumping around last year’s report and am once again amazed at the wisdom within its unsophisticated look and pages.
Every year this report spells out timeless investment theory, is a business planning doctrine for the best run companies, and provides a template for business continuance rarely seen in small businesses today. Did I mentioned that Warren Buffett can spin a phrase with the wit of Twain and impact of Emerson!
What caught my eye: I turned to the back of the report for some reason—his 1975 excerpt on pensions is timeless! It can as easily be applied to today’s families plight for a worry‐free retirement.
